Jack Wolfskin Walking Boots

Our ambassadors @how_i_wander.uk have been putting the Jack Wolfskin walking boots to the test for us!  

Good footwear can make a huge difference to the hiking experience with kids, significantly reducing slips, discomfort and complaining! Our two little testers have spent the last few weeks putting their Jack Wolfskin Vojo Walking Boots to the test by constantly scrambling over rocks, hiking through the countryside, and climbing trees. So what did we find out?

1. Comfortable for little feet

These walking boots have cushioned midsoles and soft fabric around the ankles which keep little feet comfortable on long walks and hikes. We didn’t have a single complaint from the boys during our hikes (aside from regular demands for snacks of course!).

2. Super sturdy grip

With the boys enthusiastically scrambling up rocky inclines, climbing trees and navigating muddy woodland trails, the grip on these boots was certainly put to the test and they performed exceptionally well. There were no skids or slips, feet remained planted to the spot which is a testament to the robust rubber outsole these boots feature.

3. All-weather adventuring

We are strong believers in exploring in any weather which is why the waterproof Texapore membrane on these boots was so important. They kept the boys’ feet warm and dry throughout rainy spells and puddle jumping competitions!

This is the area where the Shell XT style of boot really excelled with the waterproof and breathable Texapore Ecosphere membrane keeping feet warm down to -30 degrees. The rubber heel and toe make them perfect for walks in icy or snowy conditions.

4. Exploring in style

Although outdoorsy, the boys are opinionated when it comes to their clothing styles!
