Testing the Didriksons Slaskeman Set

New to Scotland living, Little Trekkers Ambassadors @mytoddlertravels put the popular Didriksons Waterproof Slaskeman Set to the test for us.

We had just moved from England to Scotland in the Spring and ventured out to our local country park for the first time. This is where we found a stream that, of course, our little boy Yusuf wanted to run into. Luckily for us, we had the Didriksons Slaskeman Waterproof Set with us so quickly put the jacket and pants on him when he ran straight into the water.

Correction, he dived in! This was a great way to fully test out the waterproof capabilities of the set and we are happy to report that it withstood this test. On removing the set, we found his clothes were fully dry underneath which is what you want to find when it is a breezy spring day. The jacket is fleece lined too so he was not cold after the stream dip either.

Yusuf is a tall toddler and just about to turn three so the 3-4 year old set was perfect for him. It is also great to know that the set will last him for longer as the pants have elasticated hems with adjustable and replaceable foot straps. The jacket also has snap fasteners down the front, visible reflectors all round and a detachable hood. Since their first outing, the jacket and pants have come in use separately too and we always have them in his backpack for all our outdoor adventures. So, if we are ever caught in the rain, we know he’s covered!

The Didriksons Slaskeman Waterproof Set is a kids rain set that is fully windproof and waterproof with welded seams. The childrens rain jacket has snap fasteners down the front, visible reflectors all round and a detachable hood. Elasticated cuffs and raglan sleeves for optimal ease of movement. The inside collar is a soft fleece material and the hem is elasticated at the sides to minimise the risk of the jacket riding up. The kids rain pants have a higher bib and the fit can be adjusted with snap fasteners on the sides and adjustable braces. The kids waterproof dungarees come with elasticated hems with adjustable and replaceable foot straps.

This garment is made from fully waterproof, OEKO-TEX®-certified and PVC-free Galon® is a reliable friend under rain-filled skies. Galon® is hard-wearing and needs neither water-repellent surface treatment nor frequent washing. Instead you can wipe off any dirt with a damp cloth, making this a sustainable and water-saving material. The dense fabric prevents water molecules from passing through, thus keeping the wearer protected from rain.
