he next picture shows then indulging in their second favourite past time of playing with seaweed, this time on the neighbouring island of Berneray.

Their long suffering mother takes them for a wind swept walk back on North Uist.

The Outer Hebrides around New Year is a cold, wet, windy (and yet exhilarating) place. The Rukka jackets and dungarees allow us to take the children out into an environment that would otherwise be closed to us
