We decided to have a little competition when we were at the seaside as Dad had some fishing line in his pocket and Mum found fishing weights that she’d bought from a car boot sale in her bag (She said they’d come in handy one day!).

Making Sand Boats – Were we the first in the world to do this?
On the way to the river there was frog spit everywhere. My mum was 36 years old before she found out that frogs didn’t really spit on all the grass on the way to the river. So to avoid Squid this embarrassment I told her what frog spit really was.
When Squid was a baby we went to the beach in Wales.

Squid likes tomatoes. We were looking at grow bags for tomatoes at the garden centre and they looked just like big plastic bags of soil to me. Why don’t you just fill a big plastic bag full of soil I said? I bet they don’t even disappear like the Little Trekkers postage bags.
