Harry recently turned 10, which is a milestone worth marking, but all Harry wanted to do was “go to a forest and mess about with ropes and stuff”. Thankfully, a few of his friends were willing to join in, so off we all went for the cheapest birthday party ever.

Now we love our Keen sandals as much as all the other Little Trekkers. They have barely left our feet this summer and it's not without good reason that for once we weren't wearing them. We were persuaded to do without them for just a short while to Join in with the barefoot walk whilst we were at Trentham Gardens.

We like to get outdoors, no matter the weather. If it’s wet and windy, that just means wearing the right gear. After all, there’s mud to mess with, puddles to jump in, and those sticks aren’t going to play with themselves, you know!

Everything is soooo muddy at the moment! After a dry start to autumn, since the rain began in September, we've barely had a day without rain. This means all our usual tramps are knee deep in boot sucking mud and even the cliff top coastal trail has transformed into a mud slide!
