Our recent mini break wasn't all about glamping it up in a posh tent for the weekend....we were keen to get out every day and enjoy what the spectacular Dromoise countryside has to offer.

Despite being fans of the real basic camping aka WILD camping, we are known to pitch tent on a campsite occasionally, or even stray to the other end of the camping extreme - GLAMPING!
May is full of bank holidays in France, or rather, 'Jours Feries'.....affectionately known as Fairy Days in this house. Last week, the Fairy days fell on Tuesday (Victory day) and Thursday (Ascension), and, as is often the case, most of the schools declared the Friday also as a day off, or a 'pont' (bridge) day, (i.e. Bridging the gap to the weekend).
We recently had a little 3 day jaunt further west in Scotland, to Oban and Fort William and one of my key missions was to introduce Corwin to the wonderful invention of mountain gondolas.
The year we started our Little Trekker blogging adventure I wrote a long list of places in the North of Scotland we should cover - Black Rock Gorge was on it but it was only a few weeks ago that we finally made it there!
