How to Make a Christmas Angel

If you're like us then you will have gone through the box of Christmas decorations only to find that the Angel for the top of the tree has gone missing again!

How to Make a Christmas Angel

So our ingenious crafty crew at our shop have made this rather cute snow angel. Not sure why they always seem to have plenty of paper plates to hand. Maybe they're secretly eating pineapple and cheese on sticks and sausage rolls when no one's looking.

What you will need

equipment
  • Paper Plate
  • Stapler
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Sticky Tape
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Stick on eyes
  • Glitter glue
  • Coloured pens

How you do it

  1. Draw the shape of an angel on to the back of your plate.

    draw the outline
  2. Cut out the angel using your outline as a guide.

  3. Once you have cut out the shape you need to fold the bottom round so it looks like a skirt and then staple the pieces together at the back.

  4. Don’t worry if your angel’s wings don’t stay upright, just use cocktail sticks to help them stay up and look, well, angelic.

Our Useful Tips

  • Every angel should have a head full of golden curls and so we used some florist ribbon which we curled by pulling it across the blade of a pair of scissors.
  • Glue a paper doilie onto the front of the plate before you cut out your angel shape to add some texture to the dress and wings.
