Kylies Kreatures Go Messing About on the River
Kylies Kreatures couldn’t wait to break up for the Summer holidays and begin their epic hunt for sticklebacks, tadpoles and jumping across stepping stones in the stream.
Now Red has always been the most adventurous of the group and was determined to make a brave crossing of the stream near to Little Trekkers HQ, using whatever means necessary.
Pink however was not so adventurous (between you and me he’s a bit of a wimp) and was happy to watch from the farm wall, sitting high enough to make sure not to disturb the sheep, (they get a little nervous of little creatures made from vintage fabric)!
So off Red went. Rather fancying his chances as the next Tom Daley, he ventured towards an overhanging branch, sure footedly balanced his little feet onto it and with a shout “Jeronimo” dived into the stream below.
The stream was clear and Red could feel little tadpoles nibbling at his toes, my, oh my, they tickled! He paddled across a little further to find sanctuary on a small ledge.
After a ten minute breather Red was ready for his next challenge. Red had been reading all about Old Harry Rocks and Brimham Rocks on the Little Trekkers Go Large blog and so when he saw a large rock face ahead of him, he couldn't resist.
As he reached the summit he could relish the spectacular views of the Yorkshire countryside and noticed the perfect spot for a picnic. He made his way back down, skipped across a path of pebbles to the other side of the stream.
It’s amazing your imagination can transform a pile of rocks into all sorts of things. A mythical creature, play den, picnic table or look out tower?
Red was very pleased with his discovery and couldn’t wait to get back to persuade the rest of the Kylie Kreatures gang to come and join him next time.
