Amazing Maize Mazes
A few miles away from Little Trekkers’ HQ during the long, hot summer months there is a strange, weird and wonderful place to visit. Don’t go alone though or you may be lost forever in a field of maize…..
We all know and probably have spent fun getting lost in a garden maze at a country park or stately home, but thanks to some farmers over in America, the fascination for mazes has in every sense of the word, gone LARGE.
This maize craze is certainly alive and well at farms across UK. From July to September you can visit a maze near you, Maize Maze has all the info you need. The maze near Little Trekkers provides visitors with a flag to carry around so they can be seen from outside the maze just in case they really do get totally lost. Some mazes even have torchlight evenings, spooky or what!

- During the 15th Century European royalty began creating the puzzle hedge mazes we are so familiar with today. Many of these magnificent gardens were left neglected as a result of the two World Wars in the last century before being redeveloped in the last 30-40 years.
- In recent years, mazes have been given a new lease of life and are more popular than ever. In fact, more mazes are being designed and built now than ever before.
